Rwanda Institute for Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship & Microfinance (RICEM)

A 2014‑founded, specialized capacity-development institution, transitioning in 2017 into a private company limited by guarantee, RICEM equips practitioners across MFIs, SMEs, and cooperatives with the knowledge and hands‑on skills needed to professionalize governance, financial management, product development, and organizational operations. Through tailored training, consultancy, technical advisory services, and research, RICEM addresses both established and emerging sector needs, leveraging a network of local, regional, and international experts. Coordinated by RICEM’s management team, the curriculum is continuously developed and delivered in partnership with stakeholders, positioning RICEM as a leading center of excellence in ecosystem capacity building.
