Founder & CEO
View moreLucas Simons, CEO, is passionate about sustainable agriculture and has dedicated his life to working on this topic. Lucas deeply believes that partnership and scaling sustainability can become reality, create momentum, and drive AMEA lasting change. It is this belief that has motivated him to initiate AMEA – a first of its kind global platform that drives an evidence-based, scaleable approach to turn farmer organizations into thriving businesses.

Prior to forming SCOPEinsight, he was the first director of UTZ CERTIFIED (2002-2008) – a leading global certification and sustainability standard organization for sustainable coffee, cocoa, and tea and was responsible for spreading the certification label globally.

Every time a that a market fails - because of the same reasons - we tend to do the same things about it. We tend to respond in the same way, we make the same mistakes... there are no simple solutions...we need to change the rules of the game and go to the root causes.
