Announcing exciting new partnership to provide BDS services in Tanzania
We are happy to announce that Sundy Merchants Company Ltd. has joined SCOPEinsight’s Local Expert Network. This partnership will help Tanzanian agribusinesses grow through the use of data led technical assistance. The combination of Sundy Merchants’ top-notch BDS services and our position as an industry standard will improve the professionalism of agribusinesses all throughout the country.

The goal of Sundy Merchants is to provide high quality, professional services to all clients. Over the past eight years, Sundy has worked in multiple areas and helped many clients. We are currently working with Sundy Merchants, as well as other Local Experts AgriVision Sahel, PearlMutual, and MDF, on a project led by AGRA to link professional agribusinesses in four countries to financial institutions. Through our Local Experts, we will be assessing agribusinesses and inputting the data into our Bankability Metrics. This will serve as proof of the Bankability Metrics’ usefulness and will help agribusiness prove their creditworthiness to financial institutions.
The Local Expert Network: Global Standard, Local Expertise
The LEN is a partnership program that both creates value for market players and capacity builders in target countries and also creates value for local businesses. Through the LEN, we attract organizations that share our vision of professionalizing agribusinesses and will serve as reliable SCOPE tool implementers. These experts provide the much-needed local infrastructure with the capacity to offer ongoing business development support to agribusinesses, working well beyond donor-funded initiatives. Through partnering with these like-minded businesses, we ensure that international capacity builders can efficiently implement their projects while strengthening the local economy.
Continuing our important work together
As mentioned above, we are currently working with Sundy Merchants to increase access to finance for Tanzanian agribusinesses. Ideally, we hope that this project with AGRA will only be the beginning of these efforts. Together with our Local Experts like Sundy Merchants, we are working to bridge the gap between agribusinesses and lenders so agribusinesses can access the finance they need to grow. The work that Sundy Merchants does in business development fits in perfectly with this goal.
